Can I work with a project on both NVivo 12 (Windows) and NVivo 12 (Mac)?

You can use the ‘Copy Project’ feature in NVivo 12 (Windows) to convert your NVivo 12 (Windows) projects to NVivo 12 (Mac) projects. Before converting any projects, we recommend you backup your project and also understand the cross platform limitations and issues as all data may not successfully convert due to restrictions on data interchange between operating systems.

Please note that to work with a project in this way, you need to be using the new version of NVivo 12 (Windows) and NVivo 12 (Mac), and not a combination of new and old NVivo releases. For example, you can’t work with a project in this way using the first release of NVivo for Mac and NVivo 12 for Windows.
